On this project, the client wanted to create an open plan kitchen and dining area whilst maintaining the original look of the house. Avant-Garde Construction achieved this by building a spacious single-story extension and removing the load-bearing walls in order to join the new and existing areas.
The materials for this project were carefully selected in order to blend in with the new and existing structures. The client wanted as much natural light in the kitchen as possible, so, Avant-Garde installed large patio doors along the back wall and a large triple glazed aluminium lantern in the roof. The finished result is fantastic and most importantly the client’s desires were achieved. The Avant-Garde team achieved a high-quality finish on the outside of the property with a crown tiled GRP flat roof system, whilst constructing the walls with matching bricks. A sandstone patio was laid to create a lovely outside space that flowed seamlessly with the sandstone kitchen floor. The bespoke kitchen with hardwood worktops complements the high-quality internal finish and finishes off the space perfectly.
